“Provisions Plus+ wasn’t built from a grand plan. It grew from a moment that just clicked — and a belief that Alternative Provision can be life-changing when it’s done properly.”
Jade Neivens-Brown

My journey into education didn’t start with a grand plan. It started 15 years ago as a volunteer with a training provider, where I was first introduced to Alternative Provision. Something about it just clicked. I saw the difference it could make for young people who didn’t fit the traditional system, and from that point on, I knew this was where I wanted to be.
Over the years, that early spark grew into a real passion. I’ve worked across different roles in education, always with the same focus - improving the quality and accessibility of Alternative Provision so that it genuinely works for the young people who need it most.
Before launching Provisions Plus+ in September 2024, I spent seven years coordinating and managing a service on behalf of a Local Authority. It was a well-respected, established Alternative Provision framework, and being part of that gave me invaluable experience. I worked closely with schools, providers, and professionals - developing programmes, building relationships, and making sure the support in place wasn’t just good on paper, but meaningful in practice.

THE TEAM
On siteHigh-quality Alternative Provision can be life-changing when it’s done properly.
Started as a volunteer with a training provider - first introduced to Alternative Provision. Something just clicked.
Coordinated and managed a respected, established AP framework - working with schools, providers and professionals.
Built to close the gaps - raising standards across AP and making it safe, structured and properly understood.
I started Provisions Plus+ because I could see the gaps. I’d seen where things worked well, but also where they didn’t. I wanted to create something that raised the standard - something that made Alternative Provision feel safe, structured, and properly understood by everyone involved, from Local Authorities to schools to providers.
We’ve built a service around real experience, with a clear, high-quality model that supports Local Authorities to feel confident in the provision they’re commissioning. But we don’t stop there. We work directly with training providers, helping them set up, grow, and deliver education that truly makes a difference. We also support schools - especially around Ofsted - helping them feel prepared, informed, and confident in how they use and manage Alternative Provision.
A service built on years of hands-on work - not theory, not box-ticking.
Every young person deserves the right support, in the right environment, at the right moment.
Working with LAs, schools and providers so the whole system pulls in the same direction.

Partner
Hapio Journey is the student journey platform for UK alternative provision. From the first referral to the final step back, one login carries the whole of it — referral, assessment, induction, provision plan, sessions and attendance, drivers and targets, reintegration and the monthly report. It doesn't just record the work, it tells your team what to do next, with the reason shown for every recommendation.
Provisions Plus+ acted as a review partner throughout the development of Hapio Through our role as a review partner, Provisions Plus+ provided professional insight and feedback on Hapio’s development, drawing on our understanding of effective AP practice, quality assurance and the standards required to support providers. This helped ensure that Hapio was developed with the AP sector at its core, rather than adapting a generic solution to meet its needs.
In collaboration with Hapio, Provisions Plus+ members have full access to Hapio Assure
